On the game server - creating a text file with a list of current players

I want to create a text file with a list of current players. This will all be done outside the game on the windows server. I have never used UE3 API so I am a noob.

I'm actually interested in seeing how this could be done.

My google searching only leaves me more confused and I was wondering if anyone has done something similar to this.

Weird death problem

Since this morning whenever someone is killed they fall to the ground as normal and then they rocket off into the sky. If they got a ceiling they fall back to the ground. You can then revive them, but as soon as you do, they zoom into the sky and fall again and die from the damage.

Anybody have any idea on what is happening and how to stop it?

Does anyone use pb_sv_xxxxxx commands in game?

I can't seem to get "admin pb_sv_" commands to work in game. Anyone using this?

Just gives a blank.

Note: I am logged in as admin (via the admin panel - not sure if that is the correct admin) and I have the punkbuster commands turned on (settings->misc).

Servers Lagged Out

Lately, officials have been crashing completely - lagged out entirely. ORD22 this time. Don't know if it was that one last time or not. Either way, they were fine, and lately they've been awful.

Server swaps map back to default.

Title might be a bit confusing, couldn't think of the word I needed.

Recently if a server is idle with no match being played, the map selected will be reverted back to the default map on the command-line. I've looked almost everywhere to find a setting for it, is there one or am I just blind?

Edit: The reverting could be just UMM to default map.

Hello

I have setup a server and am trying to monitor it's usage. I was wondering if there is a way to make the server itself or via punkbuster, send me an email everytime someone joins?

The server rotates Inner and *NEW* Innerhospitalx2.
All other maps are available on vote.
All optics are open.
It is EU based.
Look for [EF] Elite Fighters in the server list.

Can't remove the ban

So basically we banned 1 guy IN GAME using the Admin panel.
The problem is that he has for example # marks in this name that the game wont recognize?
That leads to problem where we cant unban this player.

Example his real in-game name is TESTPL#YER
in the ban list it shows as this : TESTPL YER
If i click that TESTPL YER and click Unban i get a error "Cant find the ban, the ban was not removed" or something like that.

Where i can find his ban from the server files?

UMMs in Personal Hosted Server Issues

I had my personal Hosted Server down for a week. Ran it. And see all my UMMs are no longer listed.
So, I go back to the UGC ini, add my map ID strings like usual, add them to the Map Rotation, etc etc.. like usual.

Nothing.

I go to the Hosted Server Tool in AAPG. and try that way, and i NOTICE...
The Hosted Server Tool, not only put Map ID Strings are automatically inputted in UGC, but put Map Name automatically into AAGame ini.. Odd..

So I try to add some custom maps, via Hosted Server Tool, nothing, doesnt work. So after playing around with it, I add ALL UMMs in the CUSTOM UGC option in Hosted Server Tool, and that works.. I download them, and only a third show up in Admin Change Map panel..

That's issues 1, 2 and maybe 3.

This makes players download 133 maps to join server..
I try to cut out the blank maps that dont show in Change Map,
Now nothing..
I go to add maps again.. Nothing.

I've deleted all workshop maps, in Client side, and Server Side (Binaries/win32/Workshop),
Nothing..

The only time I got maps to work (1 Time), is by adding them all and downloading them all..
I cannot add anymore, it wont take anymore Map IDs and can't re-download what is already downloaded..


I don't know if this makes sense to anyone.. But Even though, it seems great to have the Server Hosted Tool to automatically put in UMMs in Ini files, I can't seem to select which ones to go in, and can't seem to get any to work.

please help me get my server up and running[SOLVED]

hi all
i would like to run for each server on same ip a different scrolling text. i did config it and the command to start the server is:

the server log file has those entries:

1.I was wondering if somone can tell me how to automate this admin command bUnlockOptics=true

As it is now i have tp manually issue it in the console after every server restart.

2.Is there a way to auto restart the server at a predetermined time?

3.is there a way to auto login as an admin?

Punkbuster Not Updating.

So I have a server through Gameservers atm and I have the server all setup and everything just when I get into the server PB error comes up saying "*WARNING*: PunkBuster Report PB Server Running Old Version C2.312"
I have gone through FTP tried to update PB through ftp and updated PB through Gamerservers end called Mods.
Idk what to do put in a support ticket through to gameservers but I'm trying to fix it myself can anyone help please?

Up and running great. I wonder though if there is a way it can record the chat as well? If not can we give this an option to true a command so it will record the chat? This would be a VARY handy tool for server admins.

First time owning a server so bare with me. I would like to have automated banner messages (text box in upper left hand corner in game). Do i create that through gameservers.com or in game?

Map Rotation

I have set up the maps that we want to rotate but I'm not seeing a setting to turn this option on. Prior to the recent changes that I made to the list, the default map would always be the next map after every match ended. In order for the default map to be overridden we have to set the next map as an admin or use the map vote option.

All of ours are UMM and we would like it if the maps actually rotated instead of us having to manually override them after every match.

Where is the setting for this? Our host is Gameservers.

Guns on maps - Pick and choose which ones you want on your server

I know this has been asked as a feature 1000s of times, but has anyone figured out how to pick and choose guns for their servers.

I think a lot of people want to get the ridiculous and easy M24 gun off their servers.

I miss AA2 where the admin can pick and choose what they want (guns, spawn points..etc.etc..etc..) - on the fly. Those were the days.
